I think I confused yards average with yards after contact, or the last time I saw his yards after contact was before his injury. But still Jones has done well.
=============
Of RBs with at least 99 carries, Jones is tried for 4th in yards per carry. And he's first of RBs with at least 130 carries. Also interesting so many in the NFC North.
Bears RB Khalil Herbert 129 carries for 732 yards, 5.7 yards per carry.
Lions RB D'Andre Swift 99 carries for 542 yards, 5.5 y/c.Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins 105 carries for 582 yards, 5.5 y/c.
Bills RB James Cook 106 carries for 560 yards, 5.3 y/c
Packers RB Aaron Jones 214 carries for 1,125 yards, 5.3 y/c Overall grades from PFF on RB Aaron Jones
Of RBs with at least 50 snaps, PFF has RB Aaron Jones asOverall Grade: 7th RB,
Running Grade: Tied 2nd (tied with
Nick Chubb)
Forced Missed Tackles: 7th
Fumble: 3rd last... as he lost 5 fumbles and the top last year was 6.
Note: If PFF had a forced missed tackle per carry snap, Jones would probably do great, as most of the guys that have forced as many missed tackles as him, have more than 50 more snaps than Jones.
=====================
Of RBs will at least 100 carries, PFF has Aaron Jones as 11th in yards after contact with 3.2 yards after contact.
Of everyone
Aaron Jones has
8th most 10+ yards runs
12th most 15+ yards runs
Only 15th in break away yards, and his breakaway yardage is less than 25%... and 3rd lowest of those in the top 10 yardage, so he's not getting free long runs as some of them and breaking off a huge chunk with speed.
Jones' PFF receiving grade seems average, despite being 8th most catches and 11th most yardage and supposively being in a three way tie for most drops (but I remember a lost of passes to Jones being out of reach).
And Jones blocking grades (both run and pass) are not great, but he's kinda small.
