Thursday Night Season Opener

The Super Bowl Champions traditionally start of the season on Thursday Night with the first game of the season. MNF crew will do the game on ESPN.

There are 2 strong possibilities, The Saints or the Bears.

I don't think that game is scheduled with a non playoff team.

Which team do you think it will be and which team do you hope it will be?

I think it will be the Saints. I want it to be the Saints.

I don't want a Bear game cancelled because of the CBA troubles and have only one game between the two in Chicago. Also I don't want too much emotion for the season opener. There will be plenty just to have football going again. A game against the Bears that early would have too many players overexcited.

Saints or Bears.

I would prefer the Saints. Packers vs Bears games are always anything goes and sloppy as hell. I think Packers vs Saints would be a more exciting season opener.

Aren't the season openers always the Super Bowl winner vs. the team they beat in the conference finals?

which means the opening game will be

Bears @ Packers and the Packers get their rings at the start.

Personally I don't like a great match-up to start the season, as it doesn't mean much... but put it mid season it could mean a ton...

Also I don't like facing the Bears... as said they're always sloppy games which the Bears are able to keep it close even when the Packers are a lot more talented team... and sometimes are able to win them if the Packers make just one too many mistakes, which they always make mistakes against the Bears for what ever reason...

The Vikings. I want to rub it in to Vikesrule, then say "I told you so" when the Vikings get beaten by 30+ points. Their OL sucks. Formo's in denial.

I wish it's the Bears, we could start off 1-0 and have a 1 game advantage on the nfc north 😃 .
