Thursday Night Football

Just curious, is there a source of meaningful statistics that would illustrate that more people get injured on Thursday night? Players don’t have a chance to heal up properly in my estimation and I would bet you a shiny new time but there are more injuries on Thursday nights.

The limitation of this study is that it relies on injury reports. It would be interesting to run the numbers of intragame injuries notated in the play-by-by logs and compare those across rest periods.

This article tells me just about everything I need to know. It also explains a possible reason that the injuries aren't statistically much higher than any other game: players want to play and actively avoid the injury report when possible.
