I was going to bring up the point of how often last year did we actually line up with just 2 cbs in the game. It seemed like we ran mostly a nickel package as our base. So you leave shields at #3 move Woodson to safety bring in the stud and guess what now you don't have to worry about resigning a few free agents. The players like shields and Woodson would feel right at home and Burnett would get to learn tricks from Woodson.
Just my thoughts, it all comes down to the price and if he was telling the truth about taking a pay cut to play for a contender. Well how much more of a contender does he want we are defending champs and odds on favorite to repeat.

I said it in the early stages of Nnamdi's contract being drop or what not that I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a Packer. I'd expect a two year contract because yeah Sam Shields played great, but there is a theory about sophomore slumps and maybe he was a one year wonder. That does happen. Nnamdi is proven.
Brandon Underwood and Pat Lee can be let go, they I feel had their chance and did nothing with it.
I think when you look at Nnamdi signing with the Packers from a high level, it looks out of the question, but when you drill down, it makes a lot of sense.
Again, I wouldn't expect anything more than a two year contract because that makes sense for Nnamdi and the Packers. It gives them solid insurance on Tramon and Sam, while Nnamdi gets a real shot for a ring. If he gets a ring, I bet he bolts for the biggest pay day and lives happily ever after.
