I have heard ENOUGH from these IDIOTS. I can name a tone of teams that one SBs without a great tight-end. I can name a ton of great tight-ends without SBs. Barnett is overrated....that is fact. The defense got better statistically without him! In one of our biggest moments these guys put themselves first. I am done with them. As far as I am concerned, I hope they get cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You want to cut Finley? That'd be the stupidest thing ever. He didn't even say anything bad.

1) Finley has a LOT of off field issues...these will come back to haunt him/us. 2) He cannot keep his mouth shut. Yes, I am being harsh on Finley, but I just dont see the benefit of a great tighte-end. I would rather pay to get better o-lineman. Yeah, probably being harsh on Finley, but I stand by my barnett comments 100%.

Every NFL team has a training staff, and they're all fairly small. If the Packers had like 4 or 5 guys on IR, I bet Barnett would've stayed. This isn't the case. There's 17 players on IR, and you have to add the 53 players already on the team, and the players we have on the Practice Squad. That's more than 75 men the training staff has to take care of, and the injuries that take less time to cure are the ones they tend to first--that way they can get them back on the field.

So you're Nick Barnett, and you know you won't be back until next season, and not only will your teammates not pay much attention to you, but neither will the doctors.

He had to go home.

Mark Tacuh on IR Nov 12th, he has stuck around, seems the staff has time for him?

Nick Oct 15th, since it was a month before Tauch wouldnt the logical reason be that the staff had time for him too??

So your theory that the staff didnt have time is false IMO

what??!?! You have not heard about the situation with his agent, or should I say agents. I think Wilde mentioned it a lot on the radio last year about how the team was worried about him. Lots of red flags!

That is probably the worst rebuttal anybody can ever make.

Tauscher? Seriously? You're gonna mention that guy? He went to school in Wisconsin. HE LIVES IN WISCONSIN.

Not to mention his CAREER IS OVER. If my career was over, I'd love to go on free plane rides to watch the Packers from the sideline.

Tauscher is somebody we should've ditched two years ago, and it's pretty obvious that the reason why he's with the Pack is the free plane rides and Packer games.

The training staff literally has no reason to be watching Tauscher. He ain't coming back next year.

If youre talking about raw talent, I dont think there has been a better receiving TE to come around than Jermichael Finley has. His ability exceeds even Tony Gonzalez. All of Finleys problems have to do with off the field actions and work ethic. Durability is also an issue that concerns me, but there are not 10 TEs with better receiving ability or athleticism than Finley. There might be 10 better players because of other variables, which could include work ethic and maturity. In terms of ability, Finley is special.

Yet another thread with a misleading title. (This one is courtesy of Mike Florio, but maybe we shouldn't just repeat what Florio writes. Rodgers was not asked about the picture and said nothing about the picture, and even the players who stuck with the team were not originally going to be in the picture, so the two things are not connected except in Florio's fevered imagination.)

Anyway, I'm not sure why Aaron weighed in on this issue of players on IR. He has a good touch with the media, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Maybe he needed to say what he said in order to assert his leadership to his teammates or something. But you would think that at this point he would want to throw a wet blanket over anything that has to do with the players on IR, whether or not it has to do with Picturegate. One thing that seems likely is that Nick Barnett has sealed his fate and will not be invited back next year. Too bad. I used to like him.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
