Sounds like I'm up a creek with the paddle up my ass.

I don't understand why Adobe Encoder produces the F4V files if they can not be played back in anything. Kind of lame.

You should probably go with a compression codec like XviD. That's pretty much the standard right now.

If I'm assuming correctly F4V is a flash format? Flash is TERRIBLE for handling video. It's only good for streaming because of it's low file size. If you're looking for both quality and lower file size XviD is the way to go.

F4V is FLV, which is the Flash video format.
