Anyone have the actual personal conduct policy....

MySpace'n, Calling, Texting, etc to a fellow co-worker who does not want the contact is wrong, no matter how you try to slice it.

Brett's innocent though, he did nothing he's accused of. You'll see, it will take its course.

Do you really think it was all unwanted though? Would someone really be crazy enough to send three seperate random pictures of their stuff without any contact from the other side? I agree Favre is weird but even he isn't that weird (well at least I hope not).

My assumption, they had an affair, thats why she hasn't come out pubically because Favre is married. I don't think it was harassment or whatever, just plain adultery, which is not suspension worthy - that should not be the NFL's business.

I think Favre will admit to the affair to Goodel and so will Jenn and they will say they don't have enough evidence to prove harrassment, therefore Favre gets a fine.

Answering the bolded part: Of course someone would, if that someone was accustomed to women swooning at the thought of spending time with him. Would I? No, but I'm not a handsome future HOF QB worth a quarter billion dollars.

These folks don't play by our rules, and I doubt it would even occur to someone like Favre that the lady wouldn't be interested.

Its all about sexual harassment, not affairs, or Denanna being okay with it all

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/10/12/league-emphasizes-that-favre-investigation-is-about-sexual-harassment/

From the moment the league announced that it was investigating the allegation that former Jets (now Vikings) quarterback Brett Favre sent voice messages and photos to a former Jets in-house sideline reporter, the reason for the league's zeal was obvious.

An excellent summary of the status of the situation in Tuesday's SportsBusiness Daily includes the key quote from NFL spokesman Greg Aiello: "It's a totally different world with the Internet. Information and videos that never once existed are the new reality and the new news. But our issue here is the conduct of our employees and the question of whether this is a case of sexual harassment."

The fact that Favre first became exposed (sometimes the double entendres are impossible to avoid) to Jenn Sterger in the workplace compels the league to investigate whether Favre's conduct may have risen to the level of sexual harassment. As we explained in this week's Monday 10-pack, "sexual harassment" means much more than a boss harassing his secretary for sex. The "hostile work environment' form of sexual harassment requires careful consideration of a stew of often disputed facts, viewed both from the perspective of the objective interpretation of the words and deeds and the subjective reaction by the target of them.

Part of the problem, as mentioned in the 10-pack (did we mention the 10-pack?), is the surprising reality that neither the league nor the Jets have provided to Jets players specific guidance on what sexual harassment is, the conduct that may give rise to it, and the potential consequences for engaging in it.

Moving forward generally, count on that changing.

Moving forward specifically, the question of whether Sterger cooperates continues to be critical to the outcome. Without her input, the league has no context within which to assess whether Favre's conduct was unwelcome. Without her version of the events, Favre could go behind closed doors with NFL Security and say something like, "You should see the pictures she sent to me."

If the league concludes sexual harassment occurred, the Personal Conduct Policy becomes the vehicle for disciplining him. Even without a finding of sexual harassment, the Personal Conduct Policy contains sufficient "do what we want to do when and how we want to do it" looseness in the joints to allow the league to do whatever it wants with Favre. Whenever the league wants to do it. However the league wants to do it.

I think she's holding out for a settlement.

Either that, or as this article implies, she's afraid Favre has kept some pretty damning evidence himself.

Harassment is the only avenue the NFL has any business in.... can you imagine trying to police whom NFL players hook up with and when.. these are free men and as long as they stay within the letter of the law.. they have the right to pursue any relationship they wish.

People can form there own opinion, if they wish, from there.

This.

And that being the case, is this a case of harassment or just adultery (or attempted)?

I forgot one piece to my above.. they, a husband, father or son, will have to answer to those closest to them when it hits the public sector.

Can you image the comments Brett's daughters will be subjected to for their fathers "accused" indiscretions. Deanna has some level of accountability in this, as she as excepted him back in the past. His daughters and mother are probably the only other victims past possibly the accuser.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
