That indirectly goes back to my original point. Clifton has always been below-average for a long-time starting LT at run-blocking, and Tauscher has been average to slightly above average for his career. They're getting worse. Much worse. When is it time to make a change and move to guys like Lang and Bulaga, both of whom I would say are upgrades to Clfiton and Tausch in the running game right now.

This is what I'm thinking too. Clifton is definitely part of the problem with the running game, and Tauscher is not the run blocker that he used to be. I'd like to see what the young guys can do in there.

This thread looks like it should be about a QB controversy! Everyone wants the backup to play - until it happens. Philly is lucky they had Vick or they would be crying for McNabb to come back. Hey, I would like to see Bulaga and Lang win the positions too, but they're not there yet. If they were the coaches would be playing them. I'm sure Ted Thompson would also like to see his draftees playing whenever it's makes sense. They want to win too, their jobs depend on itl.

1-- As you know, a certain contingent of this forum will bitch about our o-line at every opportunity (read "loss" -- what a coincidence) of which I readily admit to being a charter member of said group.

2-- I think it pretty safe to represent that this same group does not---and has not-- trusted the decision making of the Packers as regards this offensive line, including who should be beating out who at certain positions.
...
3-- Why should we? Their best thinking was Alan Barbre at RT last year, as one example...

Playing the Barbre card is to the point of unfair! LOL

Not many more decisions like that and Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy will be looking for new jobs.

No it wasn't (below the belt).

Because it wasn't just Barbre.

Look at the distribution. Before this year there was one stud (Sitton). And every other pick played closer to Barbre than to Sitton.
