Jackson gave us what we should expect from him..
Gets the yardage that is there to get most of the time.
Has better vision than Grant but also is a bit more tentative than Grant, wastes steps laterally.
Doesn't have as much explosive potential as Grant but probably gets a little more out of crowded holes.
He is what he is.. a decent NFL back but not a true #1 type runner..
To me, we have a blended (some power between the tackles runner with some decent vision) in Jackson.. a Bull type to hammer at the defense in Kuhn... we could use an edge type runner to mix in that can pressure the edges of the defense a bit more than we currently.. or even with Grant.
Split the carries among 3 or 4 runners and give the defense something different to think about in each.. I don't think we need a franchise runner type to add at this point.. more or less a guy to give us a different dimension to the running game and Mike McCarthy another toy to apply pressure to the defense.
