While I suppose Childress must get credit for helping build the team, I have to think that a coach with that kind of talent better put together some good seasons. I mean, c'mon, they are loaded top to bottom essentially. If any coach flopped with such a roster they would see the door quickly.

I agree. And there's no denying that Chilly doesn't have high standards for the next season. Even if he doesn't, the fan base does. I mean, there's only one way to do better than last year, and that's actually MAKE it to the big game. There's no doubting going 12-4 is a good season.. but if it's a continuance of one and dones in the playoffs.. then he'll be on the hot seat. But, that's down the road. Right now, Childress is sitting pretty. lol

I agree, and so does the front office apparently.
I can't help but wonder how long he would be around if it wasn't for Favre though. I'm pretty sure he would have been sitting in 2nd place in the NFC North and still no answer at QB. I know that he went out and kissed ass to bring Favre in so he gets credit but beyond that I don't know. Favre took that team to another level which really isn't saying that much considering who he was replacing.
But bringing in Favre bought him a few more years minimum that's for sure so I guess it was a good idea, for him at least.
