Actually looking at Sims decline since 07 and the fact that he wants a long term deal in the near future.. they decided to move him.

I also think it speaks volumes to what they think of DeAndre Levy. The Wisconsin kid that played multiple spots for them last season.. including Sims's spot.

But they already have Levy penciled in the MLB position. Right now, Jordon Dizon seems like the best bet to replace Sims.

And somehow I think that pencil mark may be erased.. Levy just seems more natural on the edges.. I would guess the lions will be looking for a thumper in the draft to stick in the middle..

You want further proof that there is a strong relationship between drafting well and winning... Simms was the last of the 2006 draft.

A look at the Lions draft classes.. 2000 - 2006.

Players left on the roster from the draft class... wow. That has got to be some sort of record. Millen should never sniff at another job in the NFL.. ever. ;)

2000: 0
2001: 2 (Left tackle Jeff Backus, center Dominic Raiola)
2002: 0
2003: 0
2004: 0
2005: 0
2006: 0

I guess the current Lions GM is a genius look how many starters he has gotten from his drafts 😛
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Well, it's kinda hard to NOT have starters from his draft considering there are only 2 from the entirety of the Millen years...
