But you ignore his most important premise: had he wanted the baby against her wishes, he would have been powerless. That's the crux of my argument, too, as I've stated in other threads. If a woman has a baby a man doesn't want, he's a slimeball for objecting to supporting it. If he wants a baby the woman doesn't want, he's a Neanderthal who doesn't respect the woman's right to choose. Ultimately, under modern sex laws, the man is at the mercy of the woman. Even worse, if at any point in the entire process, she decides she has been slighted or hasn't gotten her way, she can lob the nuclear option by screaming the "r" word, and his life as he once knew it is over forever.
