93 EDGE rushers have rushed the passer 60 or more times this season.

*This is where GBs ranks*

Rashan Gary: 6 (57/93 EDGE)

Preston Smith: 6 (57/93 EDGE)

Kinglsey Enagbare: 5 (66/93 EDGE)

Lukas Van Ness: 4 (72/93 EDGE)

So 93 Edge Rushers have 60 pass rushes or more, that's an average of 2.91 Edge Rushers per team. For this argument, let's round this up to 3.

Meanwhile the Packers have 21 pressures with 4 Edge Rushers, and average of 5.25 sacks per edge rusher.

So for other teams to do better, their 3 Edge Rushers had to get 5.5 pressures or better. But when you multiple that, 5.3 x 3 = 16.5 pressures.

So if I'm understanding this stat correctly, he's accidentally suggesting teams with 16.5 to 21 pressures are better than the Packers with 21 pressures just because they used only 3 Edge Rushers, making their individual pressures numbers higher, while the Packers are using 4 Edge Rushers making their individual pressures numbers lower.

Which is why I'm thinking his stat logic BS.

Why the hell are we judging a team based on breaking their team apart, when they play on the field together?

Why not just judge a teams pressures based on the teams stats? Aren't the Edge players helping the DTs get pressures? Packers have two DTs in the top 21 DTs in pressures.

Again, I'm not saying the Packers pass rush is good, in fact, PFF rates the Packers pass rush as 25th of 32. But if I'm understanding that stat, then other teams players should have higher pressures as they're not rotating as many guys in.

I'm assuming this guy is getting his stats from PFF. In which they also have a stat called PRP.

PRP: A formula that combines pressures (sacks, hits and hurries) relative to how many times they rush the passer

And the Packers 4 Edge Rushers all end up in the 61 to 72 range (so pretty darn bad). In which Enagbare is the best and Gary is the worst.

But looking at that same PRP stat, Wyatt is the 13th best pass rushing DT in the NFL and the Packers have 3 DTs in the top 50 DT pass rushers.

Could some of that be the scheme, helping the DTs get better pass rushing matchups, while hurting the DE pass rushing matchups? You know, especially with the Packers coaches openly saying to the media that they are asking the DEs to focus on the run a bit more.

So yes, DEs are absolutely struggling (and DTs are being fairly successful) to get pressure, but the stats used to original show it, was even worse as a team with less pressures could look better, and a team with more pressures could look worse.

This defenses needs another stud (or two) a long the DL. Clark is still putting up a ton of snaps, and for a DT, he's absolutely a cardio machine, but his quality just isn't what it used to be.

The DE pass rush stinks, unless we are playing cupcakes.

More excuses. You're paid top dollar, produce.

I've seen multiple clips where the T had Gary bracketed in a loose headlock lol kind of funny how it wasn't talked about during TV or you know ... flagged.
