From JSOnline...

Here is the way the roster looks after today's cuts. Obviously some things could change. Waiver claims have to be in by 11 a.m. Practice squads will be filled in after that.

I don't get the Havner cut. I understand Lee is a better TE, but Havner is an excellent special teams player and proved last year that he has a nose for end zone.

Yes, but Special Teams play hasn't meant a whole lot during the TT/MM era (i.e. Tracy White).

Frankly, Havner was a below average blocker on his best day, and outside of having 4 TDs he wasn't worth a whole lot. Quarless has more physical talent, upside, and use as a #3 TE (assuming he is ahead of Crabtree) than Havner.

No big loss at the end of the day, in my opinion. Versatility was a plus for Havner, but if he ended up playing snaps at LB in actual games, then you were in pretty deep ... well you know.

Well I see Rock beat me to it. I'm basically echoing what he says.

IR for Barbre...didn't know he was hurt.

Glad to see Newhouse made it.

Would have rather had Williams than Swain.

I'm probably the only one here who would have let Spitz go and kept Dietrich-Smith. But I understand the reasoning. (shrug)

Sucks for Bryan. Moved his whole family to a different country and has nothing to show for it now. Hopefully he keeps working hard and catches on with another team.

Supposedly the Packers offered him a Practice Squad spot if he doesn't get picked up off waivers.

I hope Bryan clears waivers and we can have him on the practice squad. I like the guy. Good for him though if he gets an opportunity with another team.
