Yeah, as I said in a comment I left on her video, what I found most disturbing was her video was not the slapping of the kids but her own seeming illiteracy.

By the way, did you know that computer-generated (literally, machine-written!), print-on-demand books now outnumber real books on Amazon? It's amazing. A company called VDM Verlag has basically flooded Amazon.com with hundreds of thousands of volumes with weird, random-sounding titles. These "books" are basically machine-assembled collections of articles -- most ripped verbatim from Wikipedia, complete with all errors and without even so much as a reformatting. As of April 2010, their offerings comprised a stunning 1/35th of all titles available on Amazon .

I love the title of this book: USS Dempsey(DE-26): Insert Subtitle.

Public proposals are a big pet peeve of mine -- I think they are patently unfair to the woman -- so I respect this woman for walking away. I never know whether to believe videos like this or not, though. It could have just been staged.
