dhazer has a point, it's pretty un-American not to take a ridiculous amount of vacation days. GWB was at Camp David 487 days and at his Crawford Ranch 490 days during his time as president. I don't know why Obama feels he has to work so hard. Maybe because he's a communist socialist liberal hippie Muslim.

Very poor argument, Zero. Come on, you could do better than that.

It's kind of like saying that your first girlfriend was physically abusive. Your next one is emotionally abusive, but why complain because at least she doesn't beat you.

The fact that GWB was perhaps the worst President of our lifetime doesn't give Obama a free pass to also suck.

Citizen or not?

http://www.packershome.com/ForumsPro/posting/mode=quote/p=140881.html

Lets look at this question...

Obama's father wasn't a US citizen.... no dispute.

His mother is where the question begins, she born a US citizen, however she was 18 when he was born.. but since the law at the time, 52 to 86, you had to be a citizen greater than the age 16 for 5 years. So technically with the law at that time he wasn't an American citizen..

With that said.. anyone born in that time frame to anyone under 21 isn't a US citizen by birth.. including me.

Talk about an law that should have been stricken from the books.. his mother happened to become pregnant before she was 21.. happens all the freaking time.

Back to my point... if the law was changed which standard of citizenship should be applied?

Learned something new today.. I would be ridiculed if I ran for president because of my citizenship.. the only country any of my parents or myself ever knew..

BTW.. I found it ironic that McCain, whom was born in the Panama Canal was the one to lead the charge of Obama citizenship.. being that McCain fended off attempts to disprove his citizenship.

That and it was the republican party that accused when in 1964 they set the prescient with nominee Barry Goldwater in the 60's for the same position, in which he was born in Arizona before it became a US state.

ya I remember the whole citizen thing with obama and I found it strange that 'they' just seemed to sweep any questioning under the carpet (I was hoping he would get denied eg I wanted hillary to get into office).

No one is giving anyone a free pass nor applying anything of the such.

Ignorance ... gotta love it.

Sorry amigo. Looks to me like you're giving him a free pass.

Look. I want Obama to be the best President ever. I want the economy to take off. I want Obama to restore our Freedoms lost under GWB.

Instead, Obama is doing the same dumb things Bush did. He's pretty much carrying on Bush's policies.

It's the people who can't accept that one person can NOT please EVERY person in the Country that annoy me. We have over 300 million people in the US. No shit he's not going to please everyone or make decisions that everyone is going to like. It's our right to whine about it sure, but why be such a dickhead about it? Because a few things he does he's unamerican or he's a loser or he sucks? Who the fuck made this only YOUR country. Fuck you! Its OUR country and he needs to do what is best for ALL OF US. Not just you, ya fucking pissant fuck! Don't anyone get their britches in a bunch, its not aimed directly at anyone, unless you fall into that category and only YOU know if you do.

Is Obama gonna make mistakes, do things wrong, sure is, after all, he's human. I'm more interested in how he improves upon his mistakes than I am of lambasting him for them.

Loyalty and respect is earned, yes, but whatever happened to being respectful to our president? Oh, I know, it got thrown out the window when Billy got his tinkie winkie caught in his interns mouth. Sadly enough, he was one of the better presidents in the last couple decades.

For the record, Clinton was a conservative. He inherited a deficit and left us a surplus by cutting spending that had to be cut. Best economic President we've had since JFK.

As soon as GWB came into office, he made Carter look like Reagan. His spending coupled with so many middle-class jobs going overseas + our wars ruined the economy.

That said, Obama needs to do what is best for this country, and what is best for this country is NOT to carry on Bush's failed policies.

This isn't about pleasing everyone. This isn't about making mistakes. All Presidents make mistakes. Let's add to that. Everyone makes mistakes.

But if you're a historian and you look back at Obama's first few years in office, you will say that Obama continued Bush's policies.

For the record, I never called him unamerican. I don't make personal attacks. I'm talking about his policies and NOTHING else besides that. My response was simply Obama shouldn't get a free pass just because GWB sucked. We need someone to fix things, not continue the same crap we had before.

And please don't lump me in with the average right-wing jackass. I think for myself and hate Rush Limbaugh with a passion, along with all those other chickenhawks.
