Ok O-line help one hole, LB is another hole they have proven they can't cover shit, CB we are very weak and people are counting on an aging Harris to be healthy, and then we have a hole at saftey with Bigby. I'm not being negative just using what everyone else is saying in different threads. We are strong with starting wrs and qb and TE. Our defense was vastly over rated last year and we saw what happened when we played teams that knew how to beat a 3-4 defense.
BTW isn't this a discussion and that means look at something both ways not just one way like this thread is.

LOL.. most of my rant was in humor.. or an attempt anyway...
Of course we should be objective about our team.. so lets explore your list.
Oline.. not arguing.. I stated that several times up to and though last season.. having Mark and Chad from day one will help but we are still short handed overall.
Another OLB... people seem to forget that Matthews and Jones were rookies.. Matthews performed well past expectations.. and Jones held his own.. while I agree that we need to beef up the depth and competition there.. it isn't like we are bare either.. don't sleep on Obiozor either...
CB are weak?... without Harris we still have a strong pair.. Williams and Woodson... Harris is an insurance policy.. Underwood will improve.. book it. The rest are a collection of IR reports and what ifs... so I give you depth as a issue... proven depth.
S... Look at my posts.. I think a Safety to pair with Collins is of the utmost importance.. but if we fail to land an impact player in the draft, I think we can win with Bigby there for the greater part.. but if we truly want to become a great defense... no doubt we need a safety that can communicate effectively and has a high football IQ.. something we have been lacking in our safeties..
But really look at that list.. there isn't a team in football that doesn't have a comparable list.. Especially in April... we have the draft and then filling in holes through the summer..
