Just for fun... And I am curious about the answers that will come forward here....

In a fun way of asking a question in a different manner (Instead of what is the value of Aaron Rodgers.) here is the question...

If the Rams offered their First, Second, and Third picks in this years draft plus K. Bollor would you take the trade?

My answer to this question is simple: Are there any quarterbacks in the league or the draft who would represent a significant upgrade over Rodgers? No? Then no, I wouldn't take such a trade.

No.

The market value for Rodgers would exceed the 2 firsts that the Bears coughed up for Cutler.

Rodgers numbers exceed Cutlers and his palatable contract would be very attractive to a suitor.

I would take a blockbuster type offer for the Packers even to consider it.. and then they may still turn it down.

Yes, good point. That was something I forgot to mention. I think at this point, Rodgers would be worth more than two first-round picks. So a first, second, and third certainly wouldn't cut it.

ya see the thing is we know what rodgers is like and we know what he is like on our team. Anyone we draft is a unknown ... IMO noway worth it.

Where we going to find a proven QB that has taken us the the playoffs in his 2nd year as a starter?

Not like the dude is old ...

I think he's invaluable to the team. I wouldn't even consider 3 1sts.

No way I'd take that 1/2/3 deal., RP.

For me to consider it, it would take a minimum of three first rounders. And I'm not even sure I'd pull the trigger then.

Maybe three first rounders and a starting LT.

When you talk about Rodgers, you're talking about a guy that can be immensely special. Ron Wolf told McGinn early on in the off-season that based on his evaluation of Rodgers, there is nothing (mentally or physically) holding him back from at least challenging Favre's records.

Now you can win the superbowl with less than special QBs, but Rodgers has this quality about him that he can do more with less... that is to say he can be like the greats and make others around him better. To me, having that especially at the most important position in the game, is worth much more than 3 1sts.

Only way I could ever consider trading Rodgers is we have drafted a young QB that has shown himself over time to be a good player at least. For example, if we draft Colt McCoy (strictly because he is BPA) and in a couple of years has shown he can hang with the big boys.... then maybe I begin to consider trading Aaron.

Otherwise ... Aaron can lead you to big places. Add to that his contract is an amazing bargain... and his value is pretty darn high.

You don't trade a young quarterback who is only reaching his peak while being a top 5 QB.

But if there was some sort of falling out, I imagine three 1sts would be the minimum.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.

beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
