From Wes Bunting at NFP.com:

However, the overall winner of the weigh-in was Idaho offensive lineman Mike Iupati, who measured in at 6-5 and carried his 325-pound frame extremely well. But, what was even more impressive were his 35-inch arms and 10 3/8 inch hands. Iupati made the biggest impression on me out of anyone down here today and I have a feeling hes going to be one of the biggest winners down here this week.

What round is this guy projected to go in? I saw him working at the end of the practice and I thought he looked pretty good.

I'm so excited for this coming draft.

Late first, early second, I think. He's been mocked to the Vikings a lot, lately.

You have to wonder if this is the kind of guy we want. A very big guy, he'll be one of the beefiest in the league upone getting drafted, and a mauler. How well does this go with the zone blocking schemen and mentality? Getting these smaller, more agile guys.

A guard rarely goes in the first round if at all unless they have amazing workouts which it seems this guy is having.

Apparently I see our line through different eyes than most people. Sitton is an up and comer at RG, Scott Wells held his own at C and if we get Spitz back healthy he could probably move into the LG spot making it rare that we'd pick a guard so soon.

And that's the second point. Do we really need a guard? Spitz - Wells - Sitton does look very good.

I know one thing, our interior line will have to be solid. Next to the Williams Wall and Tommie Harris, there's quite a big chance that we'll get Suh or McCoy in our division, as well.

The top guard in the country last year was Duke Robinson.

I don't know why, but he fell all the way from a "projected 2nd" to ...

Ted leaving him on the board when he selected Jamon Meredith. Duke was picked next by the Panthers, where he resides today (he became a starter on the last game of the season I believe :)

I wanted Duke. 611th reference, Rock? I lost count. lol

You wanted Robinson. I wanted Oher. We've both brought it up as much as we can. Lol. It's amazing that Dhazer didn't do the same with Crabtree.

The coaching staff appears to be very high on Spitz, regardless of what the members over here think about him. The only way I see us picking Iupati is, if he shows some great athleticism at the combine so that he fits our scheme and that they want to keep Spitz at C to keep the O-line in place.

And I find it hard to imagine that either Spitz or Wells will want to be a back-up.

Next to that, there has to be no OT in sight who ranks the same or higher as him. I don't know how Thompson rates Jones and if he wants to keep Kampman, but I asume that DE/OLB will also be a bigger need. Maybe even safety.

I like him. I know Ted does not. How do I know? He left Duke on the table, cheap. It would be amazing that he would take lupati when he could have had his twin last year as a mid-rounder and didn't do it....UNLESS they think they can move him to Tackle, and I'm not seeing it--- As in, Ted not seeing it--It's the GD curse of the ZBS, Wade. That's protypical tackle arm length, btw---I'm just sayin'.

I wanted Oher also, Rock, but when Raji looked like he'd be there for us, I switched off to him. I still like that decision, even though Oher is awesome. I see Raji as an awesome player as soon as next season.

We need a FA LT. We do that, we can sleep at night. We don't we might still sleep at night, but we shouldn't, lol

Wells is a fine center. Spitz is a much bigger variable than most want to admit. Sitton is good. Sign Tausch for a year, put him in competition with Lang. Lang might be our answer at LG. I still say RT, but we will see.

We sign an FA LT I can live with a later round LT prospect in the draft, possibly a guy good enough to compete with aforementioned for that RT and LG positions, since we all know it's gonna be a friggin' ZBS type anywhooo

He'll never take lupati That's all I'm sayin' .

I wanted Monroe at 9. When he got snatched away, I wanted Raji, as well.

About 15 picks later, though, Oher was still on the board. I didn't think that Thompson would trade up at that point, but to see him do just that 3 picks later and grossly overpaying, leads me to believe that he could've pulled the trigger at pick 23 and get us our tackle of the future.

Of course, in hindsight, we wouldn't have had any pass rush, at all, but I still really, really like Oher.
