Okay, this thread is not meant to say that we lost because of the officiating or that they where out to get us, but really, there where some lousy calls out there today.

An OPI and obvious hold against us on one play and they call roughing the passer on Jenkins. A helmet to helmet hit on Rodgers and we get called for holding. Another OPI. We got one bad horsecollar call.

It was quite frustrating.

ya fitzgerald was pushing woodson around and knocking him down and he wasnt getting called at all but what did woodson get called 2x for stuff ... granted he might have deserved it but fitz didnt?

and of course the last play with the illegal hands to the face or facemask.

I guess what frustrates me most in this league is that you know that Manning and Brady get those headshot penalties. Warner even got one earlier and it was due to a Packer player being held. It is all about consistency, which doesn't happen when stars get treated differently.

I'm still mad at the defensive letdown and believe they are the real reason we lost, but how do you ignore two headshots within 3 plays during OT? When will these types of plays become reviewable? If you can review 12 men on the field and call a penalty, why can't you review a facemask or blow to the head?

Well, we can take solace in the fact that after he wins his first playoff game, Rodgers will probably become a league asset with the likes of the others you mention.

according to former NFL referee Bill Carollo, the officials got the call on the game-deciding play Michael Adams blitzing sack of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which resulted in a fumble that Karlos Dansby returned 17 yards for the winging touchdown wrong.

Basically sums up what I posted in the other thread. I expect the NFL to stay away from this for awhile and then issue an apology via a letter to the Packers' organization.

Once again, the Packers put themselves in the position to lose the game there though. For that, they only have to look at themselves when playing the blame game. Still, a tough way for the year to end especially considering how well the offense played in that game.

That to me is why we need to make the officiating in this game an issue. Yes, our season is over. But Rodgers needs to be protected better, not only by his line but by the officials as well.

Porky, the problem is the Packers really didn't put themselves in the position to lose. There should have also been a helmet to helmet flag two plays before when the referee called holding on Colledge.

We should have never been in 2nd and 20 or ultimately 3rd and five to begin with. The explanation I have heard is as weak as the 3rd down no-call. It went something along the lines of that since the ref recognized the hold on Colledge he was focused on that and getting the jersey # correct etc, and didn't watch the remainder of the play where Rodgers took an obvious helmet shot to the face mask.

Now something is wrong with this picture when there is supposed to be emphasis on protecting the QB it appears to me that if anything else is going on there is nobody home. Nobody watching the play to the whistle.

What irks me is that Colledge was beat from the start and was dragging the guy down. I see no reason why the official is still on that for rest of the play and not focusing on what happens from there.

I don't disagree. It was a missed call. The rule should of been offsetting penalties and replay the down. The Packers undoubtedly are in better position then.

However, my mentality is beat them in regulation. Don't give up that many points. Despite the calls, the Packers, defensively, played awful. As did Arizona and I understand it's tick for tact, but the players on the field still have the final say when you look at the game from start to finish.
