No way is that "allowed". Not only would the other teams flip out, so would the player's union.


The only question is that due to it being the last week, and a differing time-table, etc. --- Is it possible that no one "checked" the (forgotten methodology of how they get the "word") because the person(s) that do the "checking" didn't think to do so...

I know some people hate the analogy, but I think it applies. If you work at a company where the management are assholes and you get fired, then you hear they want to rehire you but all the assholes are gone, you probably would take the job if the deal was right. I know I would.

something like that happened with someone i work with. 8 years ago he left companyA because they kept shipping him all over the place... so we went to companyB. CompanyC has bought out CompanyA ... and just recently bought out CompanyB ... guess what ... he had to move back to Colorado.
