There is no way possible for him to lift the WR leg. He had both feet planted on the turf before the catch. So grabbing and lifting his leg would have been PI giving them the ball at the 1. Guess that way we had a small chance of stopping when they extend the game because of a defensive penalty.

Best chance was going for the ball which he did, or since the WR was laid out before the catch, he was going to the ground so, hit him hard and try slapping the ball lose while going to the ground during the catch.
