Non, I think the fact that his teammates, journalists, coaches, and even the team's owner all made comments on how he was changing his life makes a very bold statement that is not only true, but they want to get it out. I think the fact that he was resigned by the team is concrete evidence of his change. There's no way they'd take him back if he didn't show maturity in his life decisions to ditch the company he was keeping.

Not to mention these people (owners, coaches, players) spoke of how he had changed much before he had even died.

I judge people by their actions, not by their words. It's hard to give much credit to a guy who allegedly jumps on the back of a truck, threatening to kill himself if a woman drives away. Yes, we all do stupid things, but that's a little extreme.

But again, I don't know the guy, so I withhold judgment.

It is a very sad story, and a reminder that in spite of his efforts, Henry had not put his demons completely behind him. For someone who's had that kind of trouble, it is really a lifelong battle, and things can go bad very quickly at almost any time.
