Non, I think the fact that his teammates, journalists, coaches, and even the team's owner all made comments on how he was changing his life makes a very bold statement that is not only true, but they want to get it out. I think the fact that he was resigned by the team is concrete evidence of his change. There's no way they'd take him back if he didn't show maturity in his life decisions to ditch the company he was keeping.
