they have shuffled WRs in and out recently, with the new 5th guys and the injuries to jordi and whatnot. jordi came back and then was injured again. plus finley came back after being out for awhile. maybe they need to get their timing back a little bit.

what a weird thread.

i don't think there's anything wrong with the OP's question. after all, sometimes its hard to find other things to talk about. and there have been times when he's seemed to be a bit off-accuracy-wise. not in the sense of playing bad, or even in the sense of making "mistakes", but in the sense of being behind the receiver more often or low with the pass or high with the pass more often.

on the other hand, if you were to list the packer roster from 1 to 53, with "biggest concern" (someone on OL) being #1, and "least concern (Woodson) being 53, Rodgers has to be somewhere in the fifties or high forties at worst.

again, this is not meant to be a criticism of the OP. i just am always a bit bemused at how much time we spend debating a player who is among the people in green and gold who we need to worry about least.

i wonder, maybe it's Aaron Rodgers's porn star look that's the problem. we naturally start to think about how close he gets to what he aims at. and, pardon the multiple puns, since we can't come clean about our real interest we rag on Aaron as if he were Ron Jeremy.

Yeah. The truth comes out. Aaron Rodgers didn't grow up idolizing Joe Montana. He grew up idolizing Ron Jeremy. Thus the 'stache. :thumbright:

OK, in seriousness, I do think Rodgers would be in the high 40s. If we're honest about it, whose play is more consistent than Rodgers? Woody. Driver. Anyone else? Anyone? Beuller?

When it comes to hot QBs, right now it looks like Kurt Warner is it. His last 4 games have been unreal. Favre had the title but laid an egg last night. Rodgers is definitely up there and if he throws up a 100+ QB rating game tonight, we'd have to put him 2nd behind Warner when it comes to recent hot streaks.

Just read a preview of tonights game and it mentioned Rodgers completion percentage in the last three games was just above 70% at like 70.3% or something close.

That's a tad better than his average for the season so he's actually hitting on more passes as of late.

This is what happens when they don't play for 10 days. People start conjuring things to get worried about. I will say we need Rodgers to be on tonight. I expect yards to be pretty tough to come by so it's extra important he is hot.

Again, I posted this not as a statement that Rodgers is a bad QB. I also think he is a great QB and want to see him score 4 TD passes and 1 rushing TD tonight.

As a matter of fact, the passes I have notice and am referring to that I have called inaccurate would be part of his 70+% completion rate since they were mostly caught.

Let me put it another way. The short game plan we wish to execute requires the ability of the WR to get YAC after completion. If DD, Jennings or our TE have to dive for the ball, it impedes the ability to execute this part of our strategy. In the end I think these situations are a result of our long overdue adjustment to a short , quick high efficiency game plan in the past few weeks. I think we will see more effectiveness in this portion of our game as the timing is perfected.

I am nitpicking and trying to analyze a minor trend I have seen in watching the past few games that would never be picked up in a qb rating or yearly stat result. I think the comments in this post are telling that I am in the minority in my observations.

I would like to see the numbers over the last four games or so and see if they incorporated any greater percentage of shorter passes or not. I believe many would be very surprised that those numbers have not changed much at all.

I say this because we already were throwing shorter at a rate pretty much par with other teams and other than Dallas where I remember them saying they thought that was the way to approach that particular game I don't think it's changed much.

I certainly look for Rodgers to try and torch them deep tonight. Baltimore has had a problem with that and we have the guys that can serve it to them. O course, we will throw many shorter passes than long or intermediate ones, but that's just how you attack a defense.

Baltimore has not had a sack in the last two games. I expect to see Roders assert himself tonight.

He has thrown some low, and some behind. Not to big of a worry. Remember all the Warner talk back in St Louis. That he throws the ball to let the WR know where the WR is. Behind and the WR is suppose to stop and change direction to avoid the WR.

Could be a reason.

Your post made no sense. I think you meant to substitute LB or CB for at least one of two of those WRs.
