I would give them 13 days to move . Then I'd burn it. When you go to war ,if it moves you Kill it. If not get out because they think its bullshit. But anyway Istill think Campen has to go immediately. Maybe MM and Ted at the end of the year. The guy Wood that got fired did thecright thing . He went to a bar and watched the game. He had a city job also. I don't thinks he cares as much as some on this site. Do something fire somebody . Even if its the first player that does something stupid Like Jolly did.

Why is everyone hating McCarthy for this? He's in no way in charge of the stadium maintenance crew and has no official say in the employees firing. We also have only heard a detailed version of the story from Wood himself, the Packers organization nor McCarthy has actually elaborated on it. For all we know Wood could have been in trouble with organization and this was a three strikes kind of thing.

All I'm saying is that we don't know all the facts but for some reason you're all so eager to jump on the "I hate McCarthy" bandwagon. Ridiculous.

Give them 13 days to move? You're going to have to do better than that, brother. Where would these people go exactly? Look at this map for a second:

UserPostedImage

As you can see, Afghanistan is bordered by Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikstan, Iran, and India, not a single one of which countries would be willing to accept a flood of Afghani refugees. You would provoke a regional bloodbath of almost unimaginable proportions, not to mention inflame (and, I would add, justifiably so) currently peaceable Muslims from non-radical nations throughout the world into outrage against the United States. The world would resound with calls for jihad from every continent under heaven. In other words, you'd be endangering the lives of countless Americans, not only in the United States but in other countries as well, not to mention the lives of our allies, Muslim and non-Muslim alike. And for what? After the 15-year war with the USSR and another 8-year war with the United States, Afghanistan is virtually a Stone-Age land, with no strategic value to anyone.

Zero2Cool, please split these posts out. I think this could be an interesting conversation, but I don't want to hijack this thread further.

I'm mad about McCarthy's juvenile non-answers to questions. I expect more from my teenager, and let him know it whenever he provides non-responsive answers when he thinks answering the question straight will get him in trouble. I find it completely unacceptable from the head coach of the Packers. Is this what Ted meant by Packers people? I certainly hope not.

Also, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, I'm helping pull it. I jumped on after the Tampa game, where the same issues that have plagued us for the last two years continued to rear their ugly head and we received the same pathetic responses from MM. I've lost confidence that this coaching staff can solve the protection/penalty/special teams, etc problems--heck, it would make me happy if they just solved one of them. Well, happier, at least.

That isn't it for me, LTF.

Whatever I think of MM and his press conferences, (they have always irritated me). I have always respected his reputation as a good coach. My personal perception was and is that he is a "nuts and bolts" coach, a student of the game, a technician, however you want to put it. I always also wanted to believe that his pressers were not reflective of how he goes about his business with the team itself, motivation-wise, discipline-wise, etc. I am still willing to believe that a lot of this has to do with the players, contrasted to the coaching, but am getting less and less convinced of that by the day. I have repeatedly said he should have until the end of the year before I totally give up on him. My advocacy of a Bill Cowher, for example, is in the event of a MM firing, which would be after the season.

Then this.

Regardless of the truth of the matter, MM has handled it beyond poorly. Did you ever notice that this man never reads a newspaper? Really? Does no one in the organization read one either? Think about it. He is getting ready to do a press conference and a radio show, the papers have splashed this story all over the place in the morning, and no one has seen it, or if they have, have not given him a heads up... When he is about to face the same media? If true, that is beyond incompetence. We look like an organization that doesn't know what it is doing. Does that help us when we go to get some free agent down the road, as an example?

Plus I do not believe him. As has been said in so many ways by so many posters, he is parsing his words...not answering questions...however you want to put it, just like a teenager lying to his old man, as was also stated by others. If what this employee said was true, and they (GBP) have had ample opportunity to refute this and have opted not to, it is reflective of a rather petty, small man with more power than he should have...a little tyrant against a small someone in the "big scheme"that can do him no harm. An organizational bully, if you will. I hate people that do that shit. Hate.

It has NOTHING (for me) to do with his wins and losses this year.

This just in, Mike McCarthy's shit stinks just like everybody else. I feel for this guy, but this doesn't have anything to do with anything and in a situation of "He said, He said," you guys are siding against McCarthy because you're frustrated with the Packers. The firing of this man (even though I really feel for him) has nothing to do with the Packer's on field play.
