Nothing but execution.

Bengals did, we didn't.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I'd say it's less on who's running on us than what we're doing ourselves to prevent being run on.

This team held the new rushing game record champion Adrian Peterson to something like 70 yards last season. We can stop ANYONE if we execute.

Steven Jackson has no O-line. Then again, neither do the Bengals, really.

This is the first run heavy team that we played (Funny, as the Bears are the usual running team and the Bengals a passing one.) and I think that Capers might've handled this slightly wrong. Maybe got a little overconfident after we shut down Fort on a few plays.

I think that we'll see some more run blitzes and maybe a little more plays that have the linebackers stunting in the middle instead of corners coming from the sides and LBs dropping deeper.

Leroy Butler and Gary Ellerson were on sidelines during the game..and both said that they got the feeling the team was in the mind set of we do not have to try hard to beat these guys..

They even mentioned when Cinncy got up by 7, the feeling was it wasn't a big deal..

Maybe the team just simply did not try to beat them which to me is either being cocky, or immature or both

It wasn't that Benson was running anything but straight downhill with power.. most NFL backs can accomplish that when needed.

Three things stuck out at me when I rewatched the tape.

One, for as good of a job the OLB did at turning the plays back inside in the opener, they got equally pinned inside to easily in this game.

Especially Kampman, this has been something I noticed through preseason and the first two games.. he is having a hard time getting off the initial contact that the blocker is providing.. this is one area I didn't think he would struggle, as he used his hands so well from the down position, but he is getting swallowed up to easily yet.. Tight ends are giving him trouble.. something you never seen from him coming out of a down position. Something he and Greene need to get corrected..

Two, our inside backers got absolutely handled in one on one blocking match ups all day long. Throttled, especially Mr Twitter "chirpee" himself. He danced backwards three times that I counted.. like he was protecting the backside of the defense when in reality he was avoiding contact. If I was Winston Moss or Capers, he would have gotten the hook. So freaking what if he might be a slight improvement in pass defense.. he was a liability where they were gutting us.. I am not convinced he is ready or a better option than Chillar or Bishop at this point of his rehab.

Three... when Bush entered the game.. he was tardy in filling the edge.. this is a hidden loss from the deletion of the safety position.. all I have to say is thank goodness Woodson plays the run as well as he does.. other wise tact on 5 to 10 yards per carry out side.

I would definitely like to see Bishop in there some. Especially on the 3rd and shorts where they usually run the ball.

Bolded what caught my eye most - this is the part of Bush's game I DO. NOT. LIKE. He doesn't seem to seek out contact - I know there was at least one play that he actually seemed to jump out of the way. I just don't think he backs up the run D at all well.

Steven Jackson? I'm not worried (says the guy who thought the Lions were going to win last week).

He better not. I'll be at the game, and I'll go out there and tackle himif I have to(I'll be wearing an AJ Hawk jersey[but no pads]).

On a serious note, I know we can stop the run because as was ponited out these guys did it last year with AP. I understand it's a different scheme just saying we have the talent and ability to stop the run.

With that said, I can not stand Bush. If Bush and Rouse are starting I don't know what we could stop. I have hated Bush for two years (since the Cowboys game where Romo never threw a pass away from Bush). I have never seen him play well, and I never expect to.
