With 19 carries or more, the Packers are 9 wins and 4 losses.

More carries = more likely to win.

Time to run the ball more. It gives the OL a chance to smack around, instead of being smacked around and the DL won't be able to tee-off on us in the later portions of the game.

I think whats limiting grant's success is the amount of holes created by the offensive line... no?

Name one RB in the league that doesn't do better the longer the game goes on? They all do.

There are very few RB that can run through a wall, and that is what has been in front of grant the most time. We are stuck with it for this year yet, but it is time to shitcan the ZBS. Hasn't worked when if first came, hasn't developed, and isn't working with the adjustments this year.

If people are still going to claim that Grant goes down too easy, please enlighten me about those plays this season so far. I've seen nothing but Grant running hard, driving his legs after contact and making tough yards, much improved from last year. If it's just joking that's fine as well, just silly right now to claim Grant isn't playing well right now. Give him more carries, even if it's only 3.0-3.5 per carry, that's enough for PA to get setup.

Marion Barber gets horrible in the 4th quarter, that's why they use Jones as much as they can because Barber gets gassed as the game goes on 🙂 Was some surprising stats about his 4th quarters of only around 3.0 yards per carry.

At any rate, couldn't agree more about the blocking scheme. It seems our RBs and TEs get just as good of blocks only chipping as the lineman do hunting the block out. I don't know if it's as much about the scheme as much as physicality, it seems we get very few plys where we are pushing the line of scrimmage down field. And maybe the ZBS is even less suited for physcial lineman, though I thought it was more about athleticism. Possible that we don't have the talent up front for any run blocking scheme?

That's another one of those bs stats.

When you pass a lot, it's often because the other team has the lead. When you run a lot, it's often because you have the lead and you're wearing them down and/or running out the clock.

Brandon Jackson is not, and won't be a feature back in the NFL.

bboystyle (23-Dec) : yes due to tie breaker
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
