Zero - You can put your love for a position aside.

Now the part about pass friendly league, I agree with. You as much as look at a QB wrong, you practically get a 15-yard penalty and a fine. I forgot who said it, but you might as well put skirts on them nowadays. It's one reason I hate P Manning so much because every time he doesn't get things his way, he starts crying to the Ref.

Twins and Rock - I feel the same way. However, I could care less if we get an elite RB unless he's like Marshall Faulk or Brian Westbrook (an outstanding receiving RB). I do like Grant because he doesn't fumble, but RB has become a "nice to have" in today's NFL.

This is the year to draft CJ Spiller and let him develop under Grant and become another passing option for Rodgers. Eventually our offense should look like the Saints, in which we have a number of players in the 300-800 yard range with maybe one receiver above that number. That's when we'll have a near unstoppable offense.

I'm thinking Noel Devine, not Spiller 🙂

I'm thinking Noel Devine because CJ Spiller will be long gone by pick 32.

Or, a little more realistically at this point, pick 25.

There's no doubt in my mind that CJ is better and would make for the perfect complamentary back to Grant.

Problem is, we have Brandon Jackson emerging. He's no speedster, but he can dance and receive. We have a solid starting RB and two solid 3rd down options.

I'd love a CJ/Devine guy. Don't see it happening this year, though.

If we would have been able to run Grant on that last drive, eat up clock, the Steelers don't get nearly as much time to march down the field to score.

That's how a running game can help you win a game.

No, Grant would have broken another long run for TD, giving the ball back quicker.

But then we would have had time left to come back again.

When we don't run the ball, we should just start assuming we are going to lose lol.

When you score 36 points, you should win a game.

You can thank Aaron Rodgers and the passing game for the 36 points. Had we run more, we wouldn't have had 36 points.

The D gets the blame for the loss here. Had nothing to do with how many carries Grant got.

I still think the success of our defense has been dominating the time of possession. And that comes with long drives and running the ball. Which we didn't have either last game. During our 5 game win streak we dominated the time of possession and we ran the ball for an average of 20 times. Then what do you know when we stop running the ball and we get dominated in the time of possession by 11 minutes the defense lets up 37 points and we lose. There is a pattern, when we don't run the ball our defense has given up 31, 30, 38, and 37 points.

Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : I mean, unlikely, yes, but mathematically, 5th is possible by what I'm reading.
Zero2Cool (23-Dec) : If Vikings lose out, Packers win out, Packers get 5th, right?
bboystyle (23-Dec) : Minny isnt going to lose out so 5th seed is out of the equation. We are playing for the 6th or 7th seed which makes no difference
Mucky Tundra (23-Dec) : beast, the ad revenue goes to the broadcast company but they gotta pay to air the game on their channel/network
beast (23-Dec) : If we win tonight the game is still relative in terms of 5th, 6th or 7th seed... win and it's 5th or 6th, lose and it's 6th or 7th
beast (23-Dec) : Mucky, I thought the ad revenue went to the broadcasting companies or the NFL, at least not directly
