I am one of those (few?) that have repeatedly stated that we do not- and cannot- know the true potential of any of these RB's until we have a line that opens an -actual- hole for them on a consistent basis.
I couldn't STAND watching Jackson as a rookie. Many have accused Grant of "missing the hole" --and he has, on many occasions, but compared to Jackson, Grant seemed to find the ability to actually hit that (ridiculous) "seam" that Mike McCarthy and the (even more ridiculous) ZBS--at least as how it is employed in GB- affords a running back.
IF- Brandon Jackson is successful, it will be because HE TOO has truly learned how to "hit it and get it" as Grant did... (Grant deserves FAR MORE credit than given-by some- imo- for this) A one cut and hit the unreasonable facsimile :tongue3: of a hole our line and scheme afford.
If- this line is fixed, they sure have me hood-winked.
If- Jackson reverts/displays his (former?) tendencies to run up the keester of our linemen...and I am VERY afraid he will...
If- Foster was the head coach, I'd be seriously considering putting the ball in KUHN's hands instead of Jackson's...At least he has a good shot at knocking over everybody when he runs up the ass of one of our guards or tackles...He is a nice "load" when rumblin'...
I like Kuhn. I really like him. (Maybe it was that game glove and autograph, lol) I don't hate Jackson, either. I just don't trust his capacity to OVERCOME what I perceive as a liability...our line...STILL.
I think the players are on this team to alleviate my concerns, unfortunately, I don't think enough of them are on the field yet, and it is jmo/guess/perception, thus far.
