For awhile I was wondering why everyone was up in arms about the Packers being #3, as I thought Banks meant in the NFC North division. But 3rd overall? Wow.

I love reading power rankings...they're fun! And no, I'm not being a douche, as little as they mean, I do enjoy looking at them. Especially Don Banks'.

I'll go along with the spirit of this thread and reiterate the fact that power rankings don't mean much. However, since the ESPN rankings represent the average of (I think) four voters it does give a good indication of how people view the teams nationally.

Let's hope the Packers and the Bears swap places Sunday night.

Me too. :thumbleft: I enjoy his columns. On the other hand, Skip Bayless picked the Packers to win the NFC today as Banks did about a week ago. I don't like Bayless much.

Yeah it seems like the Packers are the a popular team of late with all of analysts making their division/conference/Super Bowl picks. Take a look at the SI writers' predictions.

I hope the Packers prove these predictions right. : ) Go Pack Go!

Not only are we 12th, but we're third in our division based on those rankings. The NFC North should be much stronger this year, just not THAT strong.

well, when it comes to the nfc north
the only teams that should be included are da bears and packers, the other 2 are just pathetic
the vikings are struggling with the most important position, and the lions are struggling with every position (except olb, and starting wr, and starting cb)lol :pukeright:

Bears to the Super Bowl???? Are you serious? I'm sorry, I just don't see it. I could better see the Vikings or the Packers then the Bears. Man they're over rated. What has Cutler done to prove he's a playoff winner?? Just doesn't make sense to me.

If I was being unbiased with our division, I would probably say the Vikings have a better chance of making it to the super bowl then the packers or bears. Of course, I think we will take them both down.

But seriously, THE BEARS IN THE SUPER BOWL?????

wtf?
