Harrell to IR again doesn't bother me to much. He was pretty much making the minimum this year anyways so there was little benefit in cutting ties with him as far as saving anything against the cap. Lee was going to be out for six weeks with his hyperextended knee, so IRing him made sense too.

The only reason Sutton didn't make this team imo is the injury to Brandon Jackson. Wynn is the better pass blocker between him and Sutton and you need that in a backup RB behind Grant, which would have been Jackson had he been healthy. You just hope Sutton can slip through waivers and bring him back onto the practice squad on Sunday.

Smith was my biggest surprise just because of how well he had played. But the above post does make a good point. He's always kind of been a basket case and team chemistry is important. Plus he did suffer a concussion against the Titans, so that could have played a part in the team ultimately releasing him.

Martin's been a capable #5, but after three seasons, he really hasn't really developing into anything beyond that. His muff against the Titans is what did him in imo. Swain showed some improvement over his rookie season, was decent as a PR where he may need to be Week 1 if Will Blackmon isn't healthy, and was even playing emergency CB against the Titans because the Packers were running out of healthy bodies.

1- Sutton should of stayed.
5- Glad we kept 3 FB's
6- Sutton > Wynn IMO.

I'm glad they kept all 3 FBs too. I think Wynn was better than Sutton. But I think between Kuhn and Sutton they could of come together and and filled Wynn's role and more....

I'm a bit surprised at Evan Dietrich-Smith. Anybody besides me think they might be planning to use him as backup C and trading Wells?

Umm I think most teams usually keep 9 OL and there was a big drop very #8 with Dietrich-Smith being #9 and then a big drop after him.

I think the Packers were shopping Wells in a trade for they could keep Meredith but no one offered enough......

I think if anyone offers enough the Packers wouldn't mind trading Wells and getting another spot but the Packers aren't shopping him or looking for a trade no more is my guess.... if one good enough comes then they'll take it..... if not they got a dang good back-up.

Smith: I think we should of kept Smith, I feel like our depth at S has been trimmed largely now..

I think we should sign Garcia.. sure, he hasn't put up huge numbers in recent years but he WINS games & brings that veteran experience into the QB position. I feel like if Rodgers were to go down.. we could turn to Garcia to win games more so than Flynn, even though Jeff would probably be listed as third string if we were to sign him.

I agree with Smith... he might of been the 2nd best S the Packers had... Collins being first.... I don't think Smith got cut because of his talent.

Also the Packers look for the long run.... Garcia doesn't fix into the long run picture of football other than maybe coach... also the Packers would have to cut, trade or IR someone for him.... I don't want to cut anybody
