Harrell to IR again doesn't bother me to much. He was pretty much making the minimum this year anyways so there was little benefit in cutting ties with him as far as saving anything against the cap. Lee was going to be out for six weeks with his hyperextended knee, so IRing him made sense too.
The only reason Sutton didn't make this team imo is the injury to Brandon Jackson. Wynn is the better pass blocker between him and Sutton and you need that in a backup RB behind Grant, which would have been Jackson had he been healthy. You just hope Sutton can slip through waivers and bring him back onto the practice squad on Sunday.
Smith was my biggest surprise just because of how well he had played. But the above post does make a good point. He's always kind of been a basket case and team chemistry is important. Plus he did suffer a concussion against the Titans, so that could have played a part in the team ultimately releasing him.
Martin's been a capable #5, but after three seasons, he really hasn't really developing into anything beyond that. His muff against the Titans is what did him in imo. Swain showed some improvement over his rookie season, was decent as a PR where he may need to be Week 1 if Will Blackmon isn't healthy, and was even playing emergency CB against the Titans because the Packers were running out of healthy bodies.
