+1 Zero those were more or less my thoughts but the reason i didn't bring up the people saying give him his time was because i figured they were all shaking their heads saying ya tell us how he was holding us hostage. But you did a good job of explaining it all. I hate typing so i try and keep mine short.

Also i would give you another +1 because you hit something right on the head and that what happened with Brett could steer free agents away from Green bay.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Dh how surprised would be to know that Brett has been seriously considering taking a pay cut and hire a personal trainer and is in talks with the Jets right now discussing all that...

But that cant be true cuz as you said, the jets know he is done

I myself don't really care that much what Warner OR Favre decide to do.
As a Packer fan, whether they both play or retire doesn't affect MY team at all.
If Favre decides to play next year, good for him.
But it no longer affects me. I'm not sweating his decision like i did for the previous 4 years.

Holding someone or team hostage by definition is purposefully withholding something from another in order to recieve compensation of sorts.

Favre never did that. His (and Warner's) decisions force teams to react, no different than if injury occured or whenever someone retires.

My whole point is what Favre did/ is doing (and Warner) is no different than all the other older players in the league. They all go through it at some point unless they are shown the door prematurely.

Cheesey you never know their decisions could affect the Packers what happens if those players some how goto the Vikings and Bears respectfully. That would have a great impact on the Packers. Remember the Bears owner said they are going to be spending money this year in free agency.

Off topic here has anyone been watching NFL network and the stuff from the pro bowl? Portis is recruiting players hard and haynesworth and tj are selling them selves to teams like the eagles and colts. Would be nice to have some of our players doing that.

Cardinals | Warner's future tied to Boldin?
Sat, 07 Feb 2009 06:51:20 -0800

Jim Corbett, of USA Today, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin's unhappiness with the team could impact impending free-agent QB Kurt Warner's decision to return. "It's too key to our success to let Anquan go," Warner said. "I don't know if I'm leaning either direction. But (Boldin's situation) is going to be a key piece to it, whether we can do something as a team like this year. If we can keep that together, that excites me about the possibility of coming back. If not, there will be a lot of struggles to overcome that'll make it harder."

Honest opinion..

If he went to the Bears or Viks, would you say right now they would be the favorite to win the division?

Personally., I say let him go to either team so we can end the discussion one way or the other 😉

Ya long i would make them the favs in the division seeing we did end the season behind both of them. So how wouldn't they be better? Put Warner on the Vikes and i say they could be Super Bowl contenders.

Hazer, who would you go for if Favre was on the Bears or Vikings and we were playing them?

And that is last year that we finished behind them, we are making major changes on defense, which was our #1 problem last year.

Hazer.......what i mean is.......what Warner or Favre does does not affect the Packers in what THEY are doing personel wise. Could it end up affecting them in the end? Maybe, maybe not. But we as Packer fans don't have to sweat who OUR starting QB is gonna be next year. That "problem" is solved already.
Seeing Favre play last year, if he did end up on the Vikings, I wouldn't be as worried as if Warner ended up there.
JMO of course.
