That's hardly a "statistically significant" poll.

"Packwillbeback" wrote:

Since you questioned how many games I watched, I figured this poll might be better suited for your requirement of people that watched every game

I would suspect that JET fans watched and paid very close attention to the team, more so than I..

Jets fans: Do you want Brett Favre back in 2009?

Yes, definitely. He can still play and we have no better options in the system (470 responses).....27.3%

Yes, but the Jets need to use a high pick on QB this spring (396 responses).........23.0%

No. It's time to move on as a franchise and get someone younger in there (853 responses) ..........49.6%

Not the results evryone in NY wanted but it could have been worse The Jets could have finieshed 6-10.

Definitely, the previous 4-12 Jets were in playoff contention down to the last week of the season and the previously 13-3 Packers were basically eliminated from playoff contention half way through the season. Read it 10 times. Get the message.

I'm glad all of hypocrites realize that it's a team game when Aaron Rodgers loses, but not one when Brett Favre does.

When did Brett Favre lose or have a bad season? When he broke his thumb? When he got his lineman, receivers, running backs and other key players taken away from him by freak injuries and bad personnel moves by a new GM? And that other time when..............oh yea, there was no other time.

I'm glad all of hypocrites realize that it's a team game when Aaron Rodgers loses, but not one when Brett Favre does.

Also, the sad fact that you are celebrating a pathetic 6-10 season where we barely squeaked by the Lions and not attacking Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy is equally sad, pathetic, and hypocritical. But it is what it is.

Whether you have the courage to admit it or not (many here hate Brett Favre, or least have some lingering animosity) for coming back and playing the game that he loved, and making Ted Thompson look like a fool.

Do you also realize that Brett Favre almost threw for 4,000 yards this year as well?

That to me, is more impressive, seeing that he had done it on the Jets with two WR's who wouldn't even start on the Packers roster. Plus, add an offensive line that cannot pass protect, coaches who cannot coach, and a system that wasn't built for Favre, but for Chad Pennington, and coaches who were too stupid to realize it. Oh, and did I mention a defense that quit after the Tenessee game, 6 games ago?

You could see that even at this late date, the WR's and Favre were not on the same page. Brett Favre expected Leon to break up field after the double move, but he didn't. And the slant pass at the end went right through his WR's hands. But we won't mention that, shall we, because it doesn't pertain to our original argument? Protecting the ineptitude of Ted Thompson.

Enjoy your pyrrhic victory, and your lack of knowledge about the game of football, and keep ripping off statistics that don't mean sh*t.

The fact still remains that Brett Favre was not done. That he had alot left in the tank. That Ted Thompson stabbed him in the back. And that Aaron Rodgers can not win football games.

Good luck trying to rationalize, justify, and apologise for the Packers and Ted Thompson next season. Have fun celebrating 6-10 this year.

You won't have Brett Favre to kick around any more.

Why didn't Ted Thompson get Michael Turner if he was such a great GM?

You just dont get it. Maybe one day when you do your studying you will come to the realization that CAP SPACE > WINNING

Just because a couple of key free agent pick ups may have made a difference, so what. Have you seen our cap space. It's off the chain. TY TT

we don't have that much cap space. Also bring in a backup RB over one of the best backs in the league would have been a dumb idea... unless of course you live in hindsight.

 I jumped from page 1 straight to here knowing this is what it ould come too. This is why I wish Favre stayed retired and yet who are we to tell him what to do. I'd hate someone to come tell me I should quit my job. Other then the boss no one holds that right

"Cdnfavre+Rodgersfan" wrote:

But what if you quit your job for four months and had already been replaced? And by the way, it was Favre's bosses who told him he couldn't come back, just as your boss would if you tried to pull the same stunt.

Just wondering, was the poll taken right after the Jets were eliminated from the playoffs? Think that might have an effect if it were?

You think there might be a reason for it? Like having an unbelievably high number of players to sign in 2009. Food for thought.
