High Draft picks may be valuable to some teams?
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another. -Vince Lombardi

I despise losing with a freaking passion, let me clarify, I can handle losing when teams are just flat out better than we are. Don't like it, but can handle it.

I wig when we are the better team and beat ourselves.. drives me crazy. BTW.. I think it is wearing on my son as well.. got to find a way to ease up on the kid when he makes a mistake.

But I digress.. the only silver lining I see in the underachieving season is that we more times than not had the better talent on the field this season and he have a chance with a top 10 pick in each round to increase that talent level.

The silver lining is offset greatly by a team that played sloppy, unfocused and undisciplined ball this season. This coaching staff has work to do in getting the talent to shine through on Sunday's.

Boy do I want to punch holes in those clouds and let that talent shine through.

Well...

I believe that the lowest draft pick we can get at this point is 10th, and the highest we can pick is 7th.

One pick I see sites predicting for us at #10 is Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas.

I was big on a DT, but actually, if we get a monster pass rushing DE, Jenkins can pass rush at DT on 3rd downs (as he usually does).

iirc didn't we trade a 7th last year for a 6th this year? So we have an extra 3rd (probably) and an extra 6th?

Urgh, we'd be in such better shape if the Jets hadn't choked down the stretch. I would've loved a 2nd.

To kill to off topic swing, to be fair, the JETS choked away the potential 2nd we had wrapped up.. wait they still can make it.

Anyway.. how does that fit into us losing?

Back on topic.. please. Thanks.

Far be it for me to echo what the entire football media world is saying. That's hardly hating.

But you can go back to the Ted Thompson bash fest that this thread was turning into, if you so desire. We can put the constructive draft talk off for another day, or month, or year.

How does any of that fit into this tread.. I clipped the posts that went totally off topic.. but somehow I want the thread to turn into a bash feast..

Really.

Last time we checked, the media isn't always rational..

Emotion check, door A.

BTW.. your post and that of Fred is right here.. continue on if you wish..
