It's basically based on $ per year, and what percentile paid are you in the NFL. So if you aren't 95 percentile, you don't get a 3rd, and some positions just won't be paid that well to get that.

Looks like WR Kenny Golladay was the only one, at $18 million per year.

Even someone that got $16.5 million per year didn't make the 3rd round cut, where Linsley only got $12.5 million per year.


So really, if you want 3rd round Comp picks, get other teams to hire your minority employees to be head coaches and GM for other teams, that's how much teams are getting 3rd round Comp picks now.

There are projected to be seven 3rd round Comp picks, and six of those are based on the NFL minority program.

I guess I can't complain too much since Linsley was just a 5th rounder in the day, was a good player for Green Bay and will probably net a 4th but given how janky the whole system is it feels like this should be a no brainer but it's not.
