Happy Suprise: Aaron Rodgers - did everything and more than I expected, both before and during the season.

Unhappy Suprise: Nick Barnett - seems to have lost his devil-may-care edge and enthusiasm after getting paid.

John Kuhn has shown some saavy this year. He scores a TD on 20% of his touches. If we could get Bill Henderson to come back and teach a hurdling workshop, Kuhn could become a probowler (hopefully he won't have to put up with as many snubs as William did over the years).

Jeremy Kapinos, well, anything goes as long as it's not Frost.

Jeremy Thompson looks like he'll develop to a great player.

I thought Collins would lose his starting job this season for sure, but he sure surprised me.

Biggest dissapoinment? The linebackers, except Chillar. Barnett, Hawk, Poppinga... I expected far more from each one of them.

Jenkins - Before he got injured he was a total beast.

Al Harris - coming back from serious injury and playing as well as ever.

Jordy Nelson - hasn't had a ton of opportunities but when the ball is thrown his way he catches it and usually slips the first tackle and is always fighting for the extra yards. Has been responsible for many 3rd down conversions I believe. I don't think many people had him making a very big impact this year because hes backing up Jennings, Driver, and Jones.

Harris for sure. I'm still amazed he came back from the spleen injury.

Rodgers hasn't surprised me at all. If anything, I think he's thrown a few less TDs than I expected.

Ya, gotta give props to a man that thinks he don't need no spleen.

Add to that the semi-fear that he was lookin' a bit old at times last year, and I'd say that Al IS an excellent candidate.

As to those that disappointed in the expectations department. My number one is Johnny Jolly, followed by Pickett. I really felt like we could "afford" to lose Williams, as the dramatic fall-off in line play occurred when Jolly was no longer in there, compared to Williams. Ryan seemed to be rising stock from an already decent place as well. There were many disappointments this year, the linebackers especially, but these two edged them out in suckiness, imo. The O-line didn't disappoint me, because I already expected them to suck, and it was mere hope on my part that they would not.

I would say Collins, but I've been saying for a while that if Rouse was going to push anyone for their job that it would be Bigby. I would say the surprise player has been Tramon Williams. He's played so well to the extent that Harris is probably expendable at the end of the season.

If it takes trading Al for a Albert Haynesworth or Julius Peppers, I would consider it. I like Al Harris a lot as a player, though. I don't know, I know the NFL is a business, but I don't really want them to get rid of him.
