This was mildly the point I tried to bring up a couple of weeks ago.. the Brass Tacks thread.. part was to see how the board would handle the discussion.. part was this.. he hasn't walked off the field with the W in the close ones.

No that isn't all on him.. the team lost those games.

But it is a monkey at this point.. but as Greg mentioned.. that isn't a terrible thing.. other than us losing the games.. he has played well for the most part and that will come.. he has the poise to do it.

Is it luck?

Long can you take off the Rodgers goggles for a bit and realize we had the ball with time on the clock against what 4 teams and under 2 minutes to go and i have to look up the stats but i believe rodgers has 3 ints in those situations i'm not sure of the exact figure but i will look it up.

Mass you brought some good points but your saying hes a solid qb and can handle the pressure and stuff but yet how do you know he will play like he did the 1st 5 games the rest of his career. My opinion is he screwed himself by taking the contract i think some of the other players didn't like that idea and maybe they aren't trying as hard (imo).

Back to Long i understand your frustrated because now some of the media is turning on your hero so you don't want to face the true facts.

Aaron Rodgers is not one of the GBP that I am disappointed in this year. Those two games he ended with interceptions, both of them he rushed or forced the play and it was obviously a mistake. It seems to me a certain beloved quarterback did the same thing to end our season last year.

I don't think Aaron needs to do much more than he already has this year. I am very pleased with him. He has a long career ahead of him to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

When the numbers are so small they mean very little, statistically. You have to look at the circumstances because this is anecdotal evidence.

I think Rodgers has mostly been the victim of bad luck, and he will have his success winning games in the final minutes. But until then, there will be a question mark hanging over him. That's okay. It will just give him extra motivation to prove the doubters wrong.

No, luck has not been on our side this season. It really isn't fair, because I think Rodgers is a great quarterback. He will prove doubters wrong eventually.

MASS Those stats are from the final 5 minutes of a game so it is situational

I finished the Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco stats also and boy what a difference a defensive team and a running team can make

Matt Ryan with the running game

42 attempts 20 completions 216 yards 1 td 0 int with 5 games with no attempts

Joe Flacco with a great defense and some running

21 attempts 15 completions 214 yards 2 Tds 1 ints with 7 games with no attempts and out of his stats he had a game against the Colts where he was 10-13 for 123 yards those are just some crazy stats.

Rodgers only had the 2 games where he had no attempts. So back to the point of Rodgers being a closer he has 1 td out of of 11 games. Ok so now don't tell me these aren't facts because i went thru the drive logs of each game.

If Crappy Kyle snortin' Orton can do it for the Bears does anyone really have any doubt Rodgers can?

I have seen several QB's that can't carry Rodgers jockstrap to the stadium lead a comeback from time to time.

I'd rather have a QB that does his job and then let the defense finish it off than a Kyle Orton who has to pull his fat out of the fryer after sucking wind all game long.
