No, there was one game I thought he had a legitimate chance to come back and he threw a pick that was clearly his fault. I think it was the Panthers game.

What we're saying is we're not concerned with Rodgers. He's not the reason we're 5-8.

Well this thread was about an article talking about Rodgers in crunch time and he hasn't proven he can do it thats why all the stats.
I honestly don't believe he deserved the big contract extension he has proven worthy of it the starting qb job was handed to him he didnt earn it

I see Rodgers being another Matt Schaub sit behind a star qb and when they are gone given big bucks and puts up big numbers but can't bring his team wins.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Had we got the level of play that Aaron Rodgers gave us from the rest of this football team...instead of chatting with you fine fellows, I would be busy making arrangements for attendance to playoff games, and hinting strongly to my CO that Superbowl tickets cannot be taken out of the Christmas gift equation. This I believe.

Interesting comparison.

Matt Schaub first year starting (11 games), 9 TD 9 INT 2241 yards 0 rushing TD.
Aaron Rodgers first year starting so far (13 games), 22 TD 11 INT 3192 yards 4 rushing TD.

where's the friggin crystal ball you're lookin in, dh?? jeez man - never predict the future - it just makes you look like an idiot. none of us knows how rodgers will do & nobody should be basing their opinion of him on one lil ole season that isn't even over yet!! but go ahead...crystal ball it...it's kinda enjoyable.

1. I seriously have never, EVER read any words to the effect of "Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL" here. Ever. The only people who post words to that effect are guys like DHazer in an attempt to deride those of us who think the kid's a good QB who will only get better with more experience.

2. Let's be 100% clear, here: What I and many others have said is that judging by his play this season, Rodgers looks like a good QB, and the more he plays the better he'll get. As Packer fans, that gives us some optimism, you see, because we want the team to be good and to win. Other folks have other agendas, whether it's that they want Thompson & Co. to fail for some reason, or they want the team to draft the kid from Texas Tech (man, I hope you realize that isn't going to happen, kid). So again, to be clear: Do I think Rodgers is better or as good as Favre or Elway or something? Fuck, no -- that's crazy talk. But he's a good QB, and anyone who calls themselves a Packers Fan and can't admit that and take a little heart from it is a very different kind of fan than I am.

3. Do any of you realize how friggin' hard it is to come back in under 2 minutes and win a game? How rare that is? I would be very curious to get a count of how many times Favre, Elway and Marino did it over their long careers. I bet the numbers will be surprisingly low. And people are dogging this kid because he hasn't done it in 5-6 chances? Ridiculous.

4. He (Rodgers) has been a starting NFL QB for less than one season. That's not enough to say anything at all, definitively. You can't say he's not capable of winning a close game, you can only say he hasn't done it yet. If I'm a member of that team, I'm going to see if I can't do my OWN effing job, rather than expecting Aaron to pull a rabbit out of the hat so I can feel more confident.

Final word: I don't think he's the best QB in the NFL. I don't think he's a HOF QB. I think he's a good QB, and I think he'll get better as he gains more experience. He's not perfect and I'll certainly admit that he's had times this year where he's been sub-par, and I didn't like those times any more than I liked them when Favre had them, Dickey had them, or any QB I've ever watched. However, if anyone seriously thinks that the QB position is what's wrong with this team, that person is, in my opinion, an idiot.

The best source I've found so far on the topic of come-from-behind victories in the last two minutes of a game is this page  from NFL.com , which lists five such victories from Favre's career (it does not specify whether that is an all-inclusive list). Interestingly, Favre finished two of the five game-winning drives on the strength of his own legs:

Sept. 20, 1992, vs. Cincinnati at Lambeau Field. Replaces injured starter Don Majkowski in the first quarter, and never looks back. Favre leads two scoring drives in the final eight minutes of the game. His 35-yard touchdown pass to Kitrick Taylor with 13 seconds remaining gives the Packers a come-from-behind 24-23 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jan. 8, 1994, at Detroit. With the Packers trailing 24-21 in the final minute of a Wild Card playoff game, Favre rolls to his left and throws across his body, completing a 40-yard pass to Sterling Sharpe on the other side of the field with 55 seconds remaining to give the Packers a 28-24 victory.

Dec. 18, 1994, vs. Atlanta in Milwaukee. With the Packers needing a victory to keep their playoff chances alive, Favre's diving 9-yard touchdown run with 14 seconds left gives the Packers a 21-17 victory over the Falcons in the final football game at County Stadium.

Dec. 3, 2001, at Jacksonville. Favre throws for 362 yards and three touchdowns, but wins with his feet. Favre's 6-yard touchdown run with 1:30 remaining -- his first rushing touchdown in three years -- gives the Packers a come-from-behind 28-21 victory.

Nov. 14, 2004, vs. Minnesota at Lambeau Field. Favre throws four touchdown passes in a game for the 18th time in his career, but the Vikings rally to tie the game with 1:20 remaining. Favre drives the Packers to a last-second field goal and a 34-31 victory.
