So the real question on Perry, for those of us who aren’t capilogists, is what could the Packers incrementally save (or more accurately spend on somebody else) by cutting Perry in the most judicious way? I am surmising from what I am reading the answer is $7.4 million.

As long as were on the topic, I’d be interested to know what that number is for Matthews, Graham, and Cobb as well.

But back to Perry, If we could sign a stud offensive guard or tackle with that money, we would be a much better team. Perhaps Roger Safford?

Best bet is probably to trade him to a team that uses 4-3 more and let him play end. He's a powerful monster, when healthy. He gets great push, when healthy.

He's much too expensive to hang around as depth. He needs to be a starter, and a good one at that.

With the price of Safety dropping maybe we use that saved cash on a FA Safety. We need to draft one as well unless we plan on converting Jackson to Safety.

I think we make an offer to Wilkerson. Unless of course Montravius Adams gives us a reason why we shouldn't.

Perry options:
1. Cut him and pay him 11 million not to play here. If we outright cut him we owe him 11 right away. If we designate it a June 1st cut then we pay him 11 over two years instead. Spreads it out but same total.
2. Keep him and pay him 22 next year
3. 34 over two
4. 43 over three.

Idk about you but id rather cut him for 11 than keep him for 43.

The above numbers were based on my memory of a breakdown of it I saw on twitter last night. There might be some inaccuracies.

so at RG we are going to possibly waste a year on a guy who hasnt played a down in the league???. that is frigging crazy.

We need to spend $$ on PROVEN OL talent, not wishful thinking.

I would live to have Wilkerson again...esp with the same type of deal.

packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.

Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."

Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
