Let's face it. From a self-scouting standpoint, this team is 4-2. That Minnesota game was taken away from us. Our defense sealed the deal in that game arguably 5 times, the most obvious of which was the fake penalty on Clay's sack that took away the game clinching INT.

THAT is how good this team is. Because even with what should be a 4-2 record, this team has only shown up for an average of what, ONE quarter per game? This isn't on the players that have been drafted. This is on Mike's complete lack of sports psychology. Dude just does NOT know how to have his team ready or get in their heads to motivate them.

That was one thing Vince Lombardi could do. It's not the ONLY thing that made him great, but it definitely contributed. Mike just doesn't have that. IMHO, it's the one single thing that is keeping Mike from being an all time great coach.

All that aside, this team is badly underrated. They have been shitting themselves consistently, week after week and are STILL in play for the division lead. That suggests to me that they DO have the talent.

All this team needs to do is SHOW UP for 2-3 quarters, and we can beat ANYBODY. Obviously showing up for a full 60 is too much to ask. But Mike's teams have proven over the years that they don't need to do that. We've had a week's rest before this coming game. We can get this! 👍 [twocents]

These guys should NOT have to be motivated by a coach.
They are supposed to be professional.
They get paid a kings ransom to make plays. The possibility that they could lose their “golden goose” job should be motivation enough to try to be their best every week.

You know, this kind of stuff just pisses me off. We say things like this as if they are not human beings. As if they are without emotions, feelings, hardships, joys, ups and downs and are just robots or some crap. Sometimes you do need a lift. Everyone -- sometimes needs a lift.

Jack Lambert once said something about not needing to be motivated to play the game because simply playing the game was motivating enough for him. I can also respect that too.

Of course we get the "they get paid X amount" garbage too. Why, WHY the hell do we bring things back to money? If they got paid $500 a game would you give them a pass because they get paid essentially the same as someone working 40 hours a week at $12 an hour? No, you wouldn't. Hypocritical tactics to knock people down at any chance they can.

As a society, we should fucking do better. Be better.

Teams win because their players are faster, stronger, bigger, more skilled and better prepared than their opponents.

GB is not the NFL's lowest ranked team, but neither are they the highest ranked team either. IMO the former GM did not acquire the faster, bigger, stronger, more skilled players necessary to be the top rated team. Let us wait and see how the new GM does moving forward. So far he has shown that he is willing to do better than just resupply enough to satisfy the statis que.

Patience is perhaps the hardest skill of all to develop.

Of course it's put up or shut up, they need to steal one of these next two games to give them a little wiggle room down the stretch... otherwise they might have to go on N almost undefeated streak to make the playoffs

Maybe I am completely wrong, but sometimes I think we should be 1-5. If the Bears don’t drop an interception, or run the clock out instead of passing. Or if the Vikings dont miss 3 field goals.

But hopefully, post bye, we right the ship and kick some Ram ass.

Packers are 3-2-1 period.

The Washington post on the road is not looking that bad right now.

4-2. 1st in their division. Solid defense.

None of that matters now.

The Packers need to show up today and play the way they know they can.

Win or lose today still not be the end of the season, but it sure would be nice to win.

Conference game, time for the REAL season to begin!
Packers 27
Rams 17

BOOK IT!

I guess I just can’t fathom how someone that makes more in one year then I would make in several lifetimes, would need someone to “motivate “ them to do what they are getting paid to do. Plus they have literally thousands of people cheering them on every week.
Of course this is ONLY my opinion. I don’t have to have people agree with me.

Fuck Mike McCarthy. He needs to swing for the fences, but I shitcan his ass even if we do win it all.

Don't put your team in this position, week after week, season after season.

Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Thst line seems...generous
Zero2Cool (5-Jan) : Eagles -3.5 over Packers in Wildcard Round
Mucky Tundra (5-Jan) : Did it though? Pokes beat the Commanders on the road with Cooper Rush previously

Mucky Tundra (4-Jan) : Stinks for Lloyd. Hoping he comes back strong for next year
