I hope Gutekunst leans on Mike McCarthy to look outside the organization for a DC.

If the Bears don't hire Fangio as their head coach (and it's said they're mainly looking for an offensive head coach for their young QB), then I think (just personal opinion that) Fangio might be the leading candidate.
Teryl Austin will only be interviewed after he gets released (if he gets released), but first the Lions have to figure out who their head coach will be. Also he could be going to Bengals.
So we will have a younger version of TT. Why couldn't we get someone that thinks outside the lines.

I still say trade Aaron Rodgers to cleveland for their 2 #1s in the draft and then sign someone like Alex Smith to groom a new qb for a couple years. We wont be in a super bowl in the next few years so lets build a nice solid team

Built the team first and add the QB last seems to work great for some teams (including the Vikings), as it keeps you picking low until you get the QB... then playoffs and high selections time.
