A rumor at one point suggested Sherman avoided talking to Thompson as much as possible

also, and that Sherman and Favre were upset with the selection of Rodgers instead of someone who could help that season. Hopefully we won't have that between Mike McCarthy and BG. (of course it was BG! It's just GB backwards!, how did we miss that sign? 🤣)

The Man in the Middle! (they really should of got some labtop skins )

I know Favre didn't like the selection. I can see how Sherman would probably have preferred a big ol fatty for the DL but I was ecstatic that some guy who was thought to be a #1 pick fell that far and in 3-4 years when we needed him, he would be about ready to take over. The retirement/never mind dance had already begun and was already irritating. I assumed Brett just didn't want to go through all of the OTA's and early TC.

Happy that they stayed within the Ron Wolf Tree and hired a football guy. Hoping to an aggressive approach to player acquisition along with Ted Thompson’s eye for draft talent ala 2005-14.

Wpr I wonder what Rodgers would think if one of the top qbs fell to us this year and we picked them? I can see the sequel of the Farve divorce coming. Rodgers already wants to help pick the free agents they sign.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Random tidbit from Aaron Nagler ... Eliot Wolf hired Brian Gutekunst.

A few people have said one thing that Brian has going for him is no one seems to say anything negative about him or is opposed to working with or below him. That has to bode well, I hope! haha

1. Is the "Top QB" projected by anyone to be #1 overall?
2. Is Aaron talking retirement every preseason?
3. Does Aaron have 3 years left? In 2005 it sure seemed like that's all Brett had left.
4. Favre didn't have to push for FAs. Wolf game them all they needed.
