Yup...I guess the other 20-30 teams who made a phone call also gave it the old college try and should be commended. Thank God we didn't get Randy Moss...nah, that would've been so unhelpful to us winning a championship. So glad that we offered peanuts to get the most gifted WR in NFL history, yes, Nerd, even more than Jeff freaking Janis. 😁

We "tried" is not the same as trying hard enough or getting it done, but, again, the expectations of so many is set to NOTHING that the positive fan is left to things such as this. The objective sees that whatever was done was not enough and doing more would've been prudent. The positive won't go any further...he stops right there at...we tried...can't hold it against him for not getting it done because...he...TRIED.

This TRIED sounds eerily like CHANCE...all these phrases the not good enough use to justify not being good enough. Positive...meet...objective.

Patriots wanted to win more than we did. Ted Thompson can't get out of his own shadow and see the forest for the trees. You have a chance to sign the most special gamechangning WR in NFL history and you screw around and play it safe like always and...LOSE...AGAIN. It just gets old. I'm sure Brett had had enough. Aaron is tasting some of that now and MM has to be about ready to go postal.

I've never liked John Elway. Probably never will. Thought he was overrated for his entire career, and an a-hole even among quarterbacks where a-holeness is almost a given.

But early results suggest he may be a better GM. He's still an a-hole, though.

Better than TT? Everyone knows I'm not much of a Ted Thompson fan, and wouldn't cry if he were gone. But I wouldn't want Elway either.

To me the anti-TT isn't Elway. It's Belichek. And Belichek I would take over Ted Thompson in a heartbeat.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Julio Jones has zero SB's as does Calvin Johnson...why would we want either one of them? 😕

Calvin Johnson 30 and cap hit of $24 million
Julio Jones 27 and cap hit of $15.9 million
Jordy Nelson 30 cap hit of $8.3 million

Calvin Johnson is way too expensive and he is simply nowhere near the player he was just a few seasons ago. I can't even believe anyone would try to use Calvin Johnson. As for Julio Jones, well, that's a good dude there and I would trade Jordy Nelson for Julio Jones in a nano second.

If Megatron is cut any team can negotiate any deal they wish with likely lessening his cap charge below Jordy's.

I tried picking WR examples that have been special and change games. Julio and Calvin are two of the best ever.

I shouldn't have responded to the inane comment. My bad.

Then trade Jordy Nelson to the Panthers for Luke Kuechly. Shut up, I see you groaning with that disappointing tone of voice, the Panthers would so accept the trade!!

Denver is operating with a win-now mentality, but look at the guys they have. They have guys who are LITERALLY on their last legs. It's the exact same thing Oakland did in 2002. It took them 13 years to look half decent again.

Elway had a better Manning two years ago, and they weren't even competitive. They won their Super Bowl this year more in spite of Manning than anything.

Next year that will be a completely different roster.

And they played in their 5th straight AFC Championship game. Ya that win now mentality doesn't work for anyone 😂 .

Before you ask who do they get? Moss, Welker, look at this year Steven Jackson. So yes they pull old timers out of the graves to play also. Bill is the best coach and GM by far. He can make trades and always get the better end of the deal. Elway is following kinda in his shoes, but we have to see. 2 Super Bowl appearances and every year in the playoffs is a pretty good start.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
