I remember hearing about Thornton and Ringo getting called out yesterday. Let's see if that has any consequence other than making a point. Not too optimistic about either of them initially so far, but will certainly give more of a benefit of the doubt to Ringo as the newbie.

Thornton should've been cut last year but they faked an injury to see if he could possibly develop. A 3rd round bust. Sadly, that guy might stick. Our DL is pretty freaking terrible among the starters and really brutal with the reserves.

I remember now being too happy about losing Luther Robinson but maybe I am remembering him being better than he actually was...

This feels like 2011 to me... we win all or almost all of our games but our D is a sieve. I can't believe how poor our front 7 is after all the 1st rounders over the years. It's amazing.

Yea that's been the most prevalent and well-founded gripes against our recent drafts for sure. It's a damn shame, but I think a DE or DT may be one of the most difficult positions to scout.

Dom is too afraid to go mind to mind with other DCs, so he wants tweeners out there. That way even though he's never got exactly the right people on the field, he's never completely wrong either.

We aren't sure who our other CB is and I'm not sold on either S we have back there. ILB is a question depending on Clay. Pep is a year older and we don't have anyone besides that fossil to rush if Clay is inside. The recipe for great success it sure doesn't sound like to me. Sounds like a lot of points scored by us and on us.

First of all, I'd gladly take 15-1, and then hopefully not blow it in the playoffs like (what was it?) 2011. More significantly, though, I would argue we have probably as strong an offense as then and a much better defense.

ILB should be fairly solid without Hawk and Jones, even if Matthews doesn't play there - I think he will, and will be exceptional. I would liken that to a great shortstop in baseball (Ernie Banks or the other ARod) switching to 3rd or 1st base when they get a little older, and excelling there.

OLB, there's no indication that old freak Peppers won't be as good as ever, and I really like the chances of Elliot and Mulumba among others to give us some pass rush nearly as good as Clay's on the outside.

I'm expecting great things from our D Backs all the way down to the 9th, 10th, maybe even 11th man.

And our D Line ....... I just don't see excellence there - which there pretty much ain't - as being all that important to success. I envision our offense as being so high powered that possible inability to stop the run becomes a lot less of a factor as teams are forced to take chances and play catch up.
