I understand completely. However, I would say that Jermichael standing on Lambeau Filed on Family Night saying two words: Dallas Texas Super Bowl... you had the feel that year that it would be special and it was. The following year you knew it was going to be close to a back to backer for us...O was incredible D was horrible. Our D this year looks terrible to me with our DL being what it is. We aren't sure who our other CB is and I'm not sold on either S we have back there. ILB is a question depending on Clay. Pep is a year older and we don't have anyone besides that fossil to rush if Clay is inside. The recipe for great success it sure doesn't sound like to me. Sounds like a lot of points scored by us and on us.

ILB should be fairly solid without Hawk and Jones, even if Matthews doesn't play there - I think he will, and will be exceptional. I would liken that to a great shortstop in baseball (Ernie Banks or the other ARod) switching to 3rd or 1st base when they get a little older, and excelling there.
OLB, there's no indication that old freak Peppers won't be as good as ever, and I really like the chances of Elliot and Mulumba among others to give us some pass rush nearly as good as Clay's on the outside.
I'm expecting great things from our D Backs all the way down to the 9th, 10th, maybe even 11th man.
And our D Line ....... I just don't see excellence there - which there pretty much ain't - as being all that important to success. I envision our offense as being so high powered that possible inability to stop the run becomes a lot less of a factor as teams are forced to take chances and play catch up.
