Guion looked like butt I have no idea why they give him so many snaps. I would rather see Mike Neal play NT honestly. There's no reason to not play Boyd or Pennell there at this point. Sam Shields also looked like crap early, he gets toasted so bad on double moves I really hope he can clean that up at some point or it's going to really hurt us.

As far as individual players I don't think anyone else really had a bad game on defense. All their other big plays were ones that looked scheme related with guys wide open in sections of the field with nobody around them for days. Like where you have 3rd and 13 so you have 1 lineman and leave it wide open for the QB to run for 11 yards without being touched.

Hawk and Lattimore were nothing special but I didn't see any glaring negatives either so that's a step in the right direction. Throw Burnett in there too. One thing that bothers me way more than it probably should is the # of times Hawks helmet comes off. That's so unusually irritating to me.

I didn't hear anything about Derek Sherrod today. That is a positive.

Did Pennel play at all?

Does anyone actually think Guion would be better than Pickett? Or Jolly, if healthy? I just don't see how, at least once Pickett worked himself back into shape.

Well that game took a few months off my life. Hopefully they are months when I am lying in my own filth and can't get an erection.

Great work by the D in the second half. Daniels stood out. Still can't believe that Peppers is not making much of an impact.

Jordy lights up the fantasy stats today. Stat whore.

Luckily Geno threw an errant pass. Aside from that, the D more or less played OK after the 21 points. For 2 straight games they seem to have a pass rush.

I thought Hawk was OK in run defense, got up around the line a lot, seemed to be active. His play wasn't quite as bad as his hair cut today.

Hawk does not tighten his chin strap.

He keeps it loose so he can make the defensive calls.

That is what I read.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
