I don't see GB being the trade partner for a team that would need/want to jump CLE, though I wouldn't be upset if Ted traded it back. Than after trading back, bundle some of the 3rd and later rounds picks (non-compensatory) for more 2nd rounders.

I would love to walk away from the draft with 4 - 2nds and a 3rd and 5th.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I'll believe it when I see it... QB needy teams bypassing a QB in Round 1.

If this happens, Round 2 becomes a spot where some nice talent falls due to all the QB activity up high in Round 2.

Teams that need QB's would be taking a huge risk not taking them in Round 1. It's much easier and justifiable to trade up in Round 2 than it is in Round 1 as the cost is much less. You don't take your guy in Round 1 and bank on him being there in Round 2 you may find yourself in a panic having to give up a bunch of picks to get what you could've had at your turn in Round 1. I don't believe most of these GM's have the stomach for any of this and will take guys in Round 1...may trade down or die trying but will take their guy in Round 1.

It is truly possible to see 5 or so guys go before the Packers pick at 21 leaving us with a Top 15 or so talent of the non QB variety. The key for all of this is to get the first one selected as early as possible. Start that run right off the bat. Could see 3 or 4 guys go just in Top 10.

I don't see DAL passing up the opportunity to draft Manziel if he falls to 16. No way. He would be a PR dream for the Cowboys, and would turn their hopes around, all the while completely filling Jerry Jones' wallet.

So, should they all pass on taking the QB in the top 8, DAL will most assuredly start the frenzy with their 16 pick. BAL, NYJ, MIA and AZ are the next picks before GB. The #21 could certainly be in play should this scenario actually happen, and word has been spreading that it might. All of HOU, JAX, CLE, MIN and TB have been rumored to be interested in taking players at other positions.

Who knows? Maybe Ted will be able to work some magic should the draft unfold that way...
