Well, as far as bulking up, Jones has said that was one of his main goals for the offseason. I've read that he has put on about 10 pounds since the end of the season, when he was down to the low 230s. Packers.com had him listed at 239 to start the season last year, and at 242 right now. Steelers OLB and Former NFL Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison is also listed at 242, so it's not like Jones has to put on 30 pounds to play the position effectively.
As far as getting better from year one to year two, McCarthy mentioned Jones' name first when asked which of last year's rookies were showing the most improvement during minicamp last month. That and just plain old common sense says that he should be better after getting some game experience and a full healthy offseason.
Why do you seem to think it's so crazy to think he'd be bigger and better in year 2?
